January

January passed pretty quickly around here.  We spent the first two weeks recovering from the flu.  It wasn't too bad, just a lot of coughing.  Then we had a week of health to enjoy getting things done like putting Christmas away, sewing, and general cleaning.
Here are some random pics:

Abby loves a utensil and is getting more creative with her techniques :)

Silly face!

While cleaning out my laundry room, I came across two grocery bags of tissue and toilet paper that were leftovers of minute-to-win-it with my YW.  At the time, I thought surely I could find another purpose for this perfectly fine tissue.  But now I just wanted to throw it away!  So of course we played in it before throwing it away, which turned out to be a great use and activity.  The girls had a blast making it look like a tissue bomb went off!

Can you spot Abby?

And after that week of bliss, I got sick and later the girls followed.  We watched some good old Mary Poppins. a. lot.

Abby climbing and reaching for books.  Crazy baby.  She's so cute and chubby, I love it!

She seems to be enjoying this book.

I hate it when all the books get pulled off the shelves!  Just when Ellie was getting better at it, a new storm has risen!

November and December Things

So after Halloween, sometimes Ellie would get really quite and I'd go look for her to find this.  Girl sneaking Halloween candy.  So funny.

One day, Ellie created this beautiful castle out of books and blocks.  It was really neat.

We went to Arizona for Thanksgiving week.  It was such beautiful weather!  We all played outside a lot.  We got to stay at my parent's new house this time!  It was so lovely to see them a lot more while we visited.  And the girls had fun getting to know them better.

We spent our time between tennis, croquette, a little shopping, and a lot of preparing, eating, and talking.  We had such a good time, we didn't even take a single picture till I realized it on our last day.  So we took one with Grandma Corinne :)

(It just seemed like I was always busy and someone else had a camera, so I just let them take the pictures.  Oh well, we have the memories :)

When we got back, we took our car in to check out this strange sound it was making on our way back.  So we were carless for days.  Michael was such a stud, and got us a Christmas tree after school.  He carried it all the way from Ace, which has got to be at least three miles.  It was so exciting!  The girls were especially excited.

I put on the lights while Ellie impatiently waited to put on ornaments.  We let her hang almost all the ornaments after we put Abby down for the night.  She was super focused and did a beautiful job.  I was really impressed and should have taken a picture.  And of course, the next day she started "picking apples" off the tree into a basket, and it never looked very good after that.  Oh well, she had a great creative time with it :)

One day, I let Ellie play with her playdough while I did dishes.  When we cleaned up I noticed that there seemed to be less playdough, but couldn't find any left out.  Well the next morning, Ellie opened her little kitchen oven door and takes out this pan of "muffins" and I couldn't help but laugh out loud!  It was hilarious.  She continued to dish up the muffins, with their dried up top crusts.  Mystery solved.

Happy Abby!

Ellie builds a lot of towers these days!  She collected all these items into "the tallest tower in the World!"

And Abby just wanted to tear it all down!

And Abby loves to climb.  She's a bit crazy sometimes.

One day, I found her standing on top of the piano keys!  Yikes!  It was so scary!

Christmas morning.  Ellie was in awe.  We took a lot of video instead of pictures :)

A proud day for Michael:  Ellie's first real lego set.  She loves it and plays with it almost every day.
