This Christmas we got a cute little live tree from Ace, instead of chopping one down. Michael was just too busy to go chop one down with school and all. I had made up my mind to not even get one and just make a felt tree and hang it on the wall but Michael insisted that Ellie needed a real tree. Ellie was into saying "no" to everything at this time and decorating the tree as a family turned out pretty comical as every time we put on an ornament, she'd rip it off while saying "NO!" Not much stayed on the bottom and I gave up and just rested them on the branches instead of hanging them. And the top ended up with all the special ornaments. I also used my three year old popcorn garland to adorn it. Let's just say Ellie ate a little bit of really old stale popcorn /when no one was looking and I decided that after this year the popcorn garland has to go.
