| Ellie had so much fun playing on our beds during our mattress circus. |
So this year we were really due for a new mattress. I was sleeping in my "canyon" that was created when I was 50 lbs heavier, pregnant with Ellie. I nursed Ellie a lot in the mornings while sitting up in bed and that helped my mattress get even worse. I wanted a new mattress that wouldn't do this with my next pregnancy, etc., I wanted to be comfortable no matter my weight. So we went shopping at the beginning of February down in Denver so that Grandma Kathy could tend Ellie, which she had been wanting to do for some time.
Well, after shopping around we settled pretty fast on a Tempurpedic mattress. It is the Weightless Supreme, which has a super fast bounce-back foam compared to their other mattresses. It made it easier to move around, roll onto your side, and even get up easier than the other memory foams, which all are important to a woman who has to sleep on her side when pregnant, not to mention get up. Also, I didn't have to worry about making any canyons as my weight shifted. We tried so many to compare and it really was the best and easiest to move around on and not to mention crazy comfy. So we plunged as they are not cheap. (Thank you tax return. ) However, they have an awesome warranty that lasts for 25 years. So I think it is actually cheaper in the long run, and I won't have to worry about being uncomfortable after having a baby ever again.
When we got the bed it stunk of off-gas pretty bad, which we expected, and after a couple of nights sleeping in the family room on our old mattress we finally got to partake. We have now completed 14 nights on our new mattress and can absolutely recommend this bed to everyone! The first night felt "different" as we weren't use to having such awesome back support, and when we woke up we had no back pain, (which we had both been suffering from). Each night just gets better and better and now I don't want to get up I'm so comfortable! (making naps very appealing right now) Sitting up in bed is nice too as there is no sliding effect. Where you put your body is where it stays! Sleep is so much better! So super comfy, I'm in love with my mattress and so is Michael so I don't feel bad saying so :). No need for my heating pad to relax my back. Michael had named my heating pad "The husband replacer". Funny thing is how much he is loving the bed. It's just what we've been needing and I feel ridiculously blessed to have it!
Oh boy, I really need to get one! Thanks for the great review. I'm totally trying to get one with our tax return too...assuming we have one. :)
