At the end of September we headed to the mountains for family pictures with the pretty fall leaves. Michael had been running up there every couple days so that we'd catch the leaves turning colors just right. Michael was great during the pictures which my trusty camera/tripod and I took. His job was to make sure Ellie's hair was good and get her smiling in the right direction which turned out not to be as hard as I imagined it would be. Hooray! They turned out!
Oh how I love my Ellie!
My little runner girl.
Pretending to sleep. So sneaky.
Ellie sure can be a character, and when I walked into her room one day this is how I found her. Great outfit combination. She was so busy this day. Too bad she refused to look at the camera.
In mid-October my sister Courtney and her family came to Denver to visit with my Grandparents for a week, so Ellie and I went down for that week and got to spend some good time with them. It's so fun to see all the cousins grow up and interact more and more. I love it. The kiddos played a lot in the kind neighbor's leaves across the street. They loved to rake, toss, and bury eachother in the leaves. (I'm not going to fix this sentence, as it makes me laugh, and obviously they raked and tossed the leaves, not eachother. Shows how bad I need a laugh!)
Mr. Grant Man. I love this picture. He was very good at raking.
They also had a swing hanging from their tree, and the kids LOVED it! I especially enjoyed watching Ellie twist and turn on her belly on the swing.
Getting the leaves out of the gutter because as you can tell, there aren't enough on the grass.
I love this picture of Ellie. Her hair looks so cute, as does the expression she is wearing.
Getting ready for dinner. Such goofy kids!
We tried to get a picture of the kids with their Great Grandma Hurst, but as you can see, the leaves were just too tempting.
Ellie had so much fun with her cousins! And I had fun with Courtney. It's so nice to just spend time together like we did when I lived in AZ. Makes me wish I lived closer. It was also fun to visit with Grandpa and Grandma Hurst and Aunt Debbie who was also visiting.

nice pics!
